Rising - West Princeton
Rising-West Princeton is a neighborhood in Birmingham's West End community. It lies north of the Arlington-West End and Oakwood Place neighborhoods, bounded by Valley Creek and Lomb Avenue Southwest, and south of Bush Hills and Fairview, separated by 3rd Avenue West. The eastern end of Rising-West Princeton reaches Princeton Parkway while the western end, abutting Central Park, is bounded by Fayette Avenue. The western section of the neighborhood was formerly known as Rising Station and was a predominantly African-American neighborhood.
